Goodbye

As the song 'Goodbye' sung by Air Supply keeps ringing in my ear, my heart is heavy.

  1. Goodbye to the 15 months of freelancing / part-timing / random odd jobs. Right after 7 years with BIIT Consulting, I'm embarking with RHB on a totally different career path.

Nervousness can be felt through my skin as I prepare myself to go back to the corporate life.

Thank God for the past 15 months of non-stop provision. The prodigal daughter journey is coming to an end...

  2. Goodbye to the freedom of waking up as and when I like or able to.

A more discipline life with the financial institute that has strict rules & regulations, structured framework & processes to follow.

Thank God for those good days of freedom and the future of disciplines. I hope to achieve something through these structures.

  3. Goodbye to some people in my life that doesn't encourage growth in me.

Social decluttering is not easy but necessary at this age to keep only the ones who can continue journeying on with faith.

Thank God for good friends who encourage, care, listen with patience, laugh at my not so humorous humor, always show me the bright side, pray, walk along side, never give up, love, and pat my back. I need to keep them, learn to maintain these friendships.

  4. Goodbye to old eating habits. Signed up for a reverse diabetes program and hope that I can be healthier.

No carbs. No carbs. No carbs. Protein & Veg is all I focus.

Thank God for the program and the financial provision. The money I could save from reversing diabetes can be in thousands. I just pray for persistency in my food choices.

  5. Goodbye to living with 1 housemate. Another person moved into where I'm renting now.

A totally different dynamics to live with a totally opposite personality. I must say it takes a lot of adjustment to one who doesn't share the same common sense.

Thank God for the addition to share the rental and also to spark some change. I pray for strong and healthy relationships through all the upcoming sparks.

It's a long process for me to say goodbye. It begins long before the actual separation happens. I need time to recognize the feelings, accept the change, embrace the pain, and take off into the new horizon.

My grief process is not much different from one whose loved one pass away. Goodbye to odd times, welcome the ordinary life.

The old must die for the new to grow. Goodbye the old.

When I started this, I couldn't see it. Now, after gathering all my thoughts, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hold on to the hope in Jesus Christ - who holds the keys of death and hades - who has the power of a resurrected life - an abundant life that prosper, flourish, and overflow of God's goodness!

Nutritional Therapy Day 1

Decided to embark on a nutritional therapy to achieve my 2017 resolution.

Restarting my diet and fitness regime. Hopefully this time with a little more patience, persistence, and perseverance.

There could be hypoglycemic episodes when my body is adjusting. This is one crucial process to endure through. Previously, this is where I will give up and consume not healthy variety.

Patience is needed to not expect miracles in the first 2-3 weeks. At least 4-5 weeks to see some results.

Discipline is the only way this will work. Need to control what time I put what into my mouth. Need to monitor my blood glucose consistently, need a way to track the trend.

May God be with me as I commit myself to achieve physical fitness. Eventually, I'll have more to give than needs to be fulfilled.

Day 1:
Fasting BG 12.2
Breakfast : 15ml coconut oil
Lunch : Chicken Chop with salad
Dinner : veggies soup
Pre-workout BG 5.2
Post-workout BG 7.6
Before sleep BG 6.9

Had iced Americano 500ml throughout the whole day. Feeling jittery pre workout, weak during workout but normal after workout.

Feeling hungry before sleep and jittery despite high BG. Yellowish urine. Had the last 50ml of coffee before dinner though.

Day 1 success! Moving on to day 2~
